Accretion: Privacy Policy
- Effective date: June 17, 2026
- Last updated: 2026-07-18
- Publisher / data controller: Zorath LLC ("Zorath", "we", "us"), Zorath LLC, United States
- Contact: tideglass.studio/contact (privacy requests) / tideglass.studio/contact (support)
- Game: Accretion: Clash of Planets ("the Game"), on the web and Google Play (other stores later).
This policy explains what we collect, why, the legal bases, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. It applies to the web version and the Android version of the Game.
1. Summary (the short version)
- The Game is a single-player game. You can play without an account.
- Your game progress is stored on your own device by default (browser `localStorage` on web; app-private storage on Android).
- If you create an optional account for cross-device save, we store your progress and a minimal profile on our servers.
- We do not sell your personal information. The Game shows optional, rewarded ads only (through Google AdMob): you choose whether to watch a short ad in exchange for an in-game bonus, and no core reward or feature is ever locked behind watching one. There are no forced, interstitial, or banner ads. See the Advertising section (§5) for details and opt-out.
- Purchases are processed by our payment providers (Paddle on web; Google Play Billing on Android). We never receive or store your full card number.
- The Game is intended for users 13 and older (16+ in regions that require a higher digital-consent age). It is not directed to children under those ages.
- You can review or change your cookie choices at any time on the cookie choices panel.
2. What we collect
2.1 Data stored only on your device (we do not receive it)
- Game progress: score, best score, current run, level/tier, prestige (Stardust), lives and life-refill timers, and settings (sound, reduced motion). Stored locally; not transmitted unless you enable cloud save.
2.2 Data we receive when you use online features
- Optional account (cloud save): an account identifier, your chosen display name (optional), an email address (if you sign up with email), and your synced game progress. Purpose: let you continue on another device and protect against local data loss.
- Purchases / entitlements: a transaction/order identifier and the product purchased, received from Paddle or Google Play, and an entitlement record on our server (so your purchase unlocks on every device). We do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Rewarded ad settlement (account holders only): if you are signed in and you choose to watch a rewarded ad, our server records that a reward was granted to your account. That record holds a request identifier, the reward type (for example bonus Stardust or an extra life), and a timestamp. We use it to grant the bonus on our own servers, to make sure the same reward is never granted twice, and to keep your prestige balance correct. This record does not contain the ad's content, and it does not contain any advertising identifier.
- Diagnostics (if enabled): anonymized crash and error reports and basic technical data (game version, platform, GPU/browser family, coarse error messages). Used only to fix bugs and improve stability.
2.3 Data collected automatically by infrastructure
- Server logs: when the Game contacts our servers (cloud save, entitlement checks), our hosting provider records standard request metadata (IP address, timestamp, user agent) transiently for security and abuse prevention.
We do not ourselves collect precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone data. To deliver the optional rewarded ads, our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may access a device advertising identifier and limited technical/device data — see §5 (Advertising) — subject to your consent where required.
3. Why we use it, and legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Run the Game and save progress locally | On-device progress | Not personal data we process (stays on your device) |
| Provide optional cloud save | Account id, display name, email, progress | Performance of a contract (the service you requested) |
| Process purchases and unlock entitlements | Transaction id, product, entitlement | Performance of a contract; legal obligation (tax/accounting) |
| Keep the service secure / prevent abuse | Server-log metadata | Legitimate interests |
| Fix crashes and improve quality | Diagnostics (if enabled) | Consent (you can turn it off) / legitimate interests |
| Communicate about your account or purchase | Performance of a contract |
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
4. Payments
- Web: payments are handled by Paddle as the Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes your payment information and handles applicable sales tax/VAT/GST. See Paddle's buyer terms and privacy notice.
- Android: payments are handled by Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment information under Google's terms and privacy policy.
- We receive only a confirmation that a purchase succeeded plus the order id and product, which we use to grant your entitlement.
5. Advertising
The Game shows rewarded ads only, provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), acting as our advertising partner and processor.
- Rewarded and optional. Ads appear only where you actively choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game bonus (for example, a small Stardust bonus at the end of a run, an extra life to continue, or an additional skill-card choice). Watching is always your choice, and every core reward and feature remains fully available whether or not you watch — nothing you have earned is withheld because an ad was unavailable or declined. There are no interstitial, banner, or forced ads.
- What AdMob processes. To deliver ads, count them, cap their frequency, and detect invalid or fraudulent traffic, Google may process a device advertising identifier (such as the Android Advertising ID), coarse technical and device data, and IP-derived approximate region. The in-game reward itself is calculated and granted on our own servers, not by the ad.
- Consent (EEA, UK, and similar regions). Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before any personalized advertising. We use Google's User Messaging Platform, a Google-certified consent tool, to show you the consent form the first time ads can appear. You may decline personalized ads and still receive non-personalized rewarded ads. The in-game reward is identical either way. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can reopen and change your consent choices at any time. In the Android app, open the in-game menu, tap Settings, and tap Privacy options. On the web, use the cookie choices panel. You can also change the choice through your device ad settings.
- Your controls / opt-out. You can simply not watch — no reward is lost. You can also reset or delete your advertising identifier, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising), and change your consent choice at any time.
- Children. Rewarded ads are shown only to users who meet the age requirements in §10 (Children); the Game is not directed to children, and we do not enable interest-based advertising to them.
Google's processing of data for advertising is governed by Google's own privacy policy and its "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" notice.
6. Sharing
We share personal data only with:
- Processors acting on our behalf: hosting/cloud-save infrastructure (to be finalized), our payment providers (Paddle, Google), our advertising partner (Google AdMob, for the optional rewarded ads described in §5), and (if enabled) a crash-reporting provider (to be finalized).
- Legal / safety: where required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
- Business transfer: if Zorath is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal information for money. If you consent to personalized rewarded ads (§5), Google AdMob may process a device advertising identifier to show interest-based ads; under some US state privacy laws this can be treated as a "sale" or "share" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out at any time by declining personalized ads in the consent prompt or via your device's ad settings (§5), and if you never consent, no such processing occurs.
7. International transfers
If data is transferred outside your region (e.g., to the US), we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
8. Retention
- On-device data persists until you clear it (clear browser storage, or uninstall the app).
- Cloud-save and account data: kept while your account is active; deleted within to be finalized days of account deletion, except records we must retain for legal/tax reasons.
- Server logs: retained for a short period for security, then deleted or anonymized.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (EEA/UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of "sale"/"sharing" (we do neither). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
To exercise any right, contact tideglass.studio/contact. You may also delete your account yourself at any time, either in-game (Settings → Delete account) or on the web at https://tideglass.studio/account/delete. Deletion permanently removes your account record, cloud save, leaderboard entry, recorded ghost runs, and claimed planet name. You can lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
10. Children
The Game is intended for users 13+ (or the higher minimum digital-consent age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact tideglass.studio/contact and we will delete it. We present a neutral age screen before any optional online feature.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, server-authoritative validation of entitlements). No method is 100% secure.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-game or on tideglass.studio, with an updated "Last updated" date.
