Cookie and Storage Policy

  • Effective date: September 3, 2026
  • Last updated: September 3, 2026
  • Site: tideglass.studio, run by Tideglass Studio.

This page lists what the site and the web version of Accretion keep in your browser. The Android app is covered at the end.

1. Cookies the site sets

All of these are needed for the site to work, so they need no consent. None of them is used for advertising or tracking.

CookiePurposeHow long
tg_accessKeeps you signed in to your Tideglass account. One year, or until you sign out.
tg_deviceA random id for this browser, so a second sign in from another device can be told apart from this one.One year.
tg_consentRemembers your answer on the cookie panel. One year.
tg_adminThe studio's own admin sign in, on the admin subdomain only.Seven days.

2. What the web game stores in your browser

The web game keeps your progress in the browser's local storage so a closed tab does not lose a run: your save, your best score, your Stardust and lives, your statistics, your planet, your settings, and small counters that decide when to show you a tip or a review request. The site pages also store your year of birth answer at the age gate and whether you have seen the intro. None of this is sent anywhere by the browser on its own; the game sends your save and your scores to our servers only when you are signed in, as the Privacy Policy describes.

The age gate also stores your answer to a question about diagnostics. No build of the Game sends any diagnostics today, so that answer does nothing yet; it will be honoured, or the question removed, before any build does.

3. Advertising

Web rewarded ads are built and switched off, so no advertising script loads and no advertising cookie is set. When they are switched on, Google will set its own advertising cookies while you watch an ad you chose, under Google's privacy policy, and this page will list them first.

4. Third parties

Our hosting provider sees ordinary server requests, including your IP address, to deliver the site. There are no analytics, social buttons, tracking pixels or third party fonts on the site.

5. Your choices

You can delete cookies and site data in your browser at any time; the site will sign you out and the web game will start from the save on our servers if you are signed in. You can reopen the cookie panel from the cookie choices link at the foot of any page.

6. The Android app

The Android app sets no cookies and has no browser inside it. What it stores on the phone is described in the Privacy Policy, section 2.

7. Changes

When this page changes we update the date at the top.

These terms apply to the current release and may be updated. Questions? Use our contact form.
